Now, when death comes, I pour tea. We are not quite friends, but we're well acquainted. I thank them for the peace they bring to those they have come to collect. And grief, the ever returning guest, is also honored, for reminding me how blessed I was to share my life with those I miss. Both remind me to LIVE.

Tea. It's an underrated act of peace. I find myself using it more thoughtfully as I get older. We truly are blessed.

Happy New Year, Anna. Wonderful post. Yes to puppy breath and honoring those who have gone before! Now to get through the night of neighbor’s fireworks.

Thank you... and dang fireworks. You have a baby horse to think about. My reactive dog is deaf now... so the circle of life is rolling along, right where it should be. Best in the New Year, my friend.

Happy New Year, Anna. We’re battening down against another storm. If this keeps up my farrier will need to fit Bodie with flippers! Thanks for your wonderful words, as always.
